How would $1,000 help your non-profit organisation?

We get a lot of requests for support from different groups and organisations within our community.  We’d love to help them all, but the reality is it’s just not possible. In an effort to keep supporting the community that supports us, we have set up Future Fund, our community support programme.  Every quarter, we donate $1,000 to one local group that is doing amazing things in our community.

Criteria

  1. Only groups can apply (no individual or personal projects sorry).
  2. Your group must have local representation and provide direct support in Taranaki – we want to keep the money local.
  3. A group can only be selected once per year.
  4. You must tell us what you intend to use the $1,000 for.
  5. We will select the group at the end of the quarter from the submissions we receive during the current quarter. Your submission won’t be carried over. If you miss out and want to try again you’ll have to make a new submission for the next quarter.
  6. We are looking for worthy causes, and the money must go to the need – The final decision rests with our community-conscious Future Fund judges.

Dates

  1. Q1. April-June
  2. Q2. July-Sept
  3. Q3. Oct-Dec
  4. Q4. Jan-March

Why Did We Create Future Fund?

At Future Grafix we are passionate about helping businesses find their identity, helping them to communicate their message and watching them grow. Seeing people win at business is an unbelievable feeling, and being part of their journey gives us a huge sense of pride.

But there is something even better, and that is the feeling of giving to a worthy cause. When we (people) give, we don’t only help the immediate recipient, we often create a ripple effect of generosity that pushes through our community. We witnessed this first hand during the economic recovery of the Covid-19 pandemic. We placed tabs on at a few local businesses around town to encourage people to visit and support their local businesses. It wasn’t our idea, but one that we borrowed from a business in Christchurch. It grew and pretty soon others were putting down tabs, donating money to businesses worst hit and coming up with other creative ways to help support each other in a time of need. An overwhelming sense of community spirit swept our town.

The pandemic is a reminder that there will always be those that need help and there will also be those [non-profit] organisations that are there to provide the help needed. In an effort to keep supporting the community that supports us, we have setup Future Fund.
