Puke Ariki – Creativity & Innovation

About This Project

Museum exhibitions are easily one of our most enjoyable types of project work we encounter.

When Puke Ariki shared the brief for Creativity & Innovation we were eager to get started on the project. The brief required use of unique materials and methods to create an interesting space and told the stories of local inventors and their inspiring inventions.

One of the most unique items in the space was a holographic display case know as a Hypebox.  The team also produce some interesting shaped lightboxes, wallpaper murals and layered photographs which create a dimensional entrance piece and a fun steam car interactive that children can climb aboard.

  • Printed wallpaper graphics
  • Vinyl wrapped graphic panels, CNC routered with rounded edges
  • Shaped LED lightboxes
  • Window manifestations
  • Reproductions of old posters
  • Layered entrance image using wallpaper, acrylic, vinyl and custom-made sign mounts.
  • MDF & Timber constructed car
  • Hype Box display case

We were excited to be awarded a Bronze Medal in the Exhibitions category for this project at the 2018 New Zealand Sign & Display Awards.

The awesome space was designed by the exhibitions team at Puke Ariki. The funky booth seats were made by Vogue Kitchens, and our team produced all the signs and graphics.
