Toi Foundation asked us to carry their tukutuku pattern onto a new Suzuki Swift. Unlike their white SUVs with gold graphics, this car was blue, compact, and curved – which meant we had to start from scratch.
The tukutuku pattern holds deep meaning, so we carefully redrew it to fit the Swift’s tight panels and angled lines. We adjusted the geometry slightly to maintain consistent line weights without distorting the design.
Gold clashed with the blue paint, so we suggested Avery Supreme Gloss Metallic Dark Blue. Its rich tone and metallic fleck complemented the car perfectly.
Our applicator then hand-masked transition points to ensure the graphics flowed smoothly around corners.
The result? A standout design the client loves – even more than their other vehicles. Big thanks to Hall of Design for a great collaboration on this project.
