Stratford Bike Park – Decorative Overlay Mural
This was an incredible community project to be part of!
We were lucky to work alongside talented local artist Wharehoka Smith to bring this unique mural to life. His artwork tells the story of the connection between the earth and sky, their children, and humankind. It also reflects the values of the Stratford community-family, nature, and the environment.
One of our biggest challenges was resizing the detailed design to fit the park’s curved concrete layout. To begin, our team digitally adapted the artwork to match the shape of the space exactly.
Next, we created nearly 400 metres of vinyl stencils. Our installers carefully placed each one on the concrete-like wallpapering, but on the ground! After that, we sealed the stencil edges and applied the PermaColour Decorative Overlay.
This overlay offers strength and flexibility. Because of this, it stands up well to water pressure and sun exposure. The colours stay bright, even over time. So, it’s one of the most reliable ways to decorate concrete.
In the end, we helped transform the space into a bold and meaningful part of the park. Now it’s open-and the community is loving it.
Miniature Glockenspiel Replica
We loved the challenge of designing graphics for this miniature version of Stratford’s iconic Glockenspiel clock tower.
First, we photographed the real tower from every angle to capture all its details. Then, our team used those images to create digital artwork—including a custom illustration of Romeo and Juliet.
Once the painting was complete, we applied the vinyl decals by hand to bring the replica to life.
As a result, the finished product looks fantastic-some even say it’s better than the original!
In short, a happy client and lots of smiling kids.
