Custom Restaurant Signage for Gusto
At Future Grafix, we love creating custom restaurant signage that reflects each client’s unique style. For Gusto Restaurant, we designed a stunning feature sign that perfectly matches their interior fit-out.
The team at Gusto reached out after seeing a custom sign we built for another client. Impressed by our work, they gave us an open brief: “Turn our logo into a piece of art using materials that complement our restaurant.”
We focused on tying the sign to two key design elements: the oak timber panelling behind the bar and the chalet-style chandelier lighting.
First, we printed a warm gradient directly onto a sheet of oak veneered plywood using our flatbed printer. This created a natural, textured background.
Next, the logo face was waterjet-cut from 3mm steel, then rolled and welded to a steel shroud. We added a custom patina paint finish to match the rustic light fittings.
To add detail, we glued coach bolt heads onto the steel face, enhancing the industrial feel.
For the lettering, we router-cut opal acrylic letters, pushed them through the steel face from behind, and glued them in place. This gave the letters a raised, three-dimensional look.
Finally, we installed warm white LEDs inside the case to light the sign. The LEDs cast a soft glow on the oak plywood, creating a sunset effect that mirrors the restaurant’s lighting.
The result is eye-catching custom restaurant signage that truly enhances the brand and atmosphere of Gusto.
“When I saw the final product, it was nothing less than amazing. Logan captured the look and feel of our restaurant perfectly. Great work team—I know our brand is safe in your hands.”
